Beliefs
Listen to your gut.
Do good work with good people.
The brand should live up to the work.
AEC fluency and outside perspective both matter.
Strategy gives each decision a reason.
A brand system only works if people use it.
Every touchpoint matters.
The team should be stronger after we leave.

Story
A box crib is a stack of timbers that holds weight while complex work gets done. Practical, deliberate, built for the moment the structure needs support.
That's where the name comes from, and what we do for the firms we work with.
We partner with companies in and adjacent to architecture, engineering, and construction at points of growth, transition, and rising ambition. The work has grown. The brand hasn't kept pace. The website undersells the portfolio, every pursuit starts from scratch, and the firm's story shifts depending on who's telling it.
We've worked inside firms and alongside them, so we know the real conditions: proposal deadlines, leadership review, stretched marketing teams. We pair that with outside perspective from premium brands, hospitality, and cultural work, so the result reads sharp instead of generic.
We clarify the strategy, build the identity and website, and hand the team a system they can actually run. Then the brand keeps working after we leave.
Support while you build and strength that carries forward.

Capabilities
Capabilities
Our practice is rooted in the belief that meaningful design requires constraint, clarity, and cultural literacy. We see design as a structural act — one that reveals relationships, defines rhythm, and articulates purpose.
A visual identity should not rely on stylistic gestures, but grow from a coherent, strategic foundation. Every choice in typography, layout, and proportion must reflect deeper considerations: of audience, of context, of intent.

Creative Network
We collaborate with a creative network built over two decades: senior designers, developers, writers, and photographers we've worked with for years.
For each project, we bring in the right people for the work at hand.
The team is built to fit the project, not the other way around.
